Our 2025 Bible conference will feature Dr. John Oswalt teaching on "The Bible & Holiness: How Scripture Works Transformation in Our Lives".

Plenary Speaker

Visiting Distinguished Professor of Old Testament
Asbury Theological Seminary, Wilmore, Kentucky

is the author of 16 books, most notable of which is his two-volume commentary on Isaiah in the New International Commentary on the Old Testament (; ). His most recent book is . Dr. Oswalt's unfolds the Bible's teaching about the Spirit-filled life and explains the intimate connection between forgiveness and a life of holiness. He has also written numerous articles in Bible encyclopedias, scholarly journals and popular religious periodicals. Dr. Oswalt is an ordained minister and has served as a part-time pastor in congregations in New England and Kentucky, and is a frequent speaker in conferences, camps and local churches.


Parallel Sessions

On Saturday, attendees can choose two of four parallel sessions on interpreting and applying the Bible. Our four sessions will be led by:

Join us Friday afternoon for practical seminars for specific audiences. These sessions will be held in the Carl Grant Events Center from 3–5 p.m.

  • 3:00–5:00 p.m. — Afternoon Sessions
    • For Pastors: Preaching the Old Testament with Dr. David King OR
    • For Laypeople: Reading the Bible Well for Understanding & Teaching with Dr. Michael McEwen & Dr. Justin Wainscott
  • 6:00 p.m. — Dinner in the Carl Grant Events Center
  • 6:45 p.m. — Welcome, introductions, School of Theology & Missions alumnus and student
  • 7:00 p.m. — Plenary 1: Dr. John Oswalt - "The Uniqueness of the Bible and the Character of God"

Saturday, March 22

  • 8:00 a.m. — Breakfast for attendees
  • 8:30 a.m. — Plenary 2: Dr. John Oswalt - "How the Israelites Learned about God's Character"
  • 9:30-11:00 a.m. — Parallel sessions in Jennings Hall
  • 11:15 a.m. — Plenary 3: Dr. John Oswalt - "The Problem and the Solution"
  • 12:00 p.m. — Lunch
  • 12:45 p.m. — Plenary 4: Dr. John Oswalt - "Implementing the Solution"
  • 1:45 p.m. — Q&A with Dr. Oswalt and other speakers

REGISTRATION

Cost for the conference is $30 for those who register by March 14, and $50 March 15-20 (registration closes on March 20).
