Union to dedicate The Ethos Forum March 21
March 13, 2025 - Union University will dedicate its newest academic building, The Ethos Forum, at a March 21 ceremony. The Ethos Forum will house Union鈥檚 McAfee School of Business and the computer science and engineering departments. Located between White Hall and Pleasant Plains Extension on the Great Lawn, the building is part of the campus master plan that Union trustees approved in 2019. Gibson County鈥檚 Lannom wins Union鈥檚 top academic scholarship
March 11, 2025 - Georgia Lee Lannom, a high school senior from Dyer, Tennessee, has received the 2025 Founders鈥 Scholarship from Union University. This is Union鈥檚 highest academic scholarship, which covers full tuition, room, meals and student service fees for four years. The scholarship was determined from Union鈥檚 Scholars of Excellence event 鈥 an annual scholarship competition that draws the highest qualified prospective students to campus for a weekend of interviews and other activities. Union to host Scripture reading marathon; volunteers needed to read
February 27, 2025 - Union University will host a Scripture reading marathon March 11-13 and March 18-20 in which more than 400 volunteers will read for 10 minutes each under Miller Tower on the university鈥檚 Great Lawn. The reading will begin each day at 8 a.m. and conclude at 8 p.m. By the end of the sixth day, the entire Bible will have been read. Oswalt to headline Ryan Center Bible Conference at Union
February 25, 2025 - John Oswalt, visiting distinguished professor of Old Testament at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Ky., will be the plenary speaker at Union University鈥檚 2025 Ryan Center Bible Conference March 21-22. The conference will focus on 鈥淭he Bible and Holiness: How Scripture Works Transformation in Our Lives鈥 and will be held in Union鈥檚 Carl Grant Events Center. Smith to deliver 9th annual Dockery Lectures March 20
February 18, 2025 - Eric Smith, associate professor of church history at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and senior pastor of Sharon Baptist Church in Savannah, Tenn., will give the ninth annual David and Lanese Dockery Lectures on Baptist Thought and Heritage at Union University March 20. Union pharmacy students earn Tennessee鈥檚 top NAPLEX pass rate
February 14, 2025 - The Union University College of Pharmacy鈥檚 class of 2024 scored a 91.7 percent pass rate for first-time attempts on both the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination and the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination, giving Union the highest pass rate in Tennessee and 10th highest nationally on both exams. It鈥檚 the fifth time in the last six years for Union to have the highest NAPLEX pass rate among Tennessee鈥檚 six pharmacy schools.
